One-Day Complete Physical Examination

Residents are eligible to receive a one-day complete physical examination designed for early discovery of common diseases for adults and subsequent treatment. Those policy holders of National Health Insurance Program are eligible for examinations include (1) a general examination course at \5,500 and (2) a stomach examination course at 9,000. Contact the National Health insurance and Pension Section for details and how to apply physical health examinations.


Cancer Screening

Stomach and Colon Cancers

Examinations for stomach and colon cancers are available for Higashi-Murayama residents aged 35 or older, however, those who have been checked in March or April are not eligible for another examination within the same year. Examinations are conducted in the screening mobile unit parked at the Ikiiki Plaza and the Tama Cancer Detection Center.

Lung Cancer

Examinations are available for 40-year-old residents or older. Smokers and those whose have blood in their sputum are strongly urged to receive this check-up. This is provided once a year at medical institutions.

Breast Cancer

Examinations are available for 40-year-old women or older. Examining in an interview, ocular inspection, palpate, and mammography are conducted by the doctor at the designated medical institutions in the city that have consigned and Tama Cancer Detection Center every two years.

Cervical Cancer

Examinations are available for 20-year-old female residents or older at the designated medical institutions in the city and the Tama Cancer Detection Center. Examining in an interview, ocular inspection, and vaginal cytology are conducted by the doctor every two years. If necessary, ovary will be examined upon a request.. Those who have been examined can not have another examination following  the same year.


Examinations for Tuberculosis

This medical check-up is available for age range from 15-year-old through 39-year-old residents. Taking Indirect X-ray is conducted.
