Calling 110

Dial 110 (no area code is required) to report to the police if you are burglarized or a victim of other crimes. Tell the police officer on the line your name and address and describe what has happened. If your bankbooks or credit cards have been stolen, be sure to contact the respective banks and card companies. When you want to make emergency calls to the police or fire department from green-colored public pay phones, push the red button on the phone before dialing so that you do not have to insert a coin. From gray-colored public pay phones, you can call 110 or 119 without inserting a coin. As a matter of course, mobile phone is available to call 110.
